A Room For Improvement

A Room For Improvement is a project by Dublin based visual artist Seamus A Bradley. The project involves the marrying of live electro-acoustic, ambient sound art, largely inspired by folk and blues music, to meditative visuals, normally under the two recurring titles of Haiku and Senryu (both names coming from Japanese short-form poetry). Haiku deals with awe in the face of the wonder of nature, while Senryu concerns itself with human nature and folly. All of Seamus’ work is underpinned by a facination with chaos theory and this manifests itself in the structure of A Room For Improvement’s sound sets also.
For Abbeyfest 2010, A Room For Improvement will present a new work entitled Senryu #7 (Ash to Ash, I cannot see – It’s all up in the air). All of A Room For Improvement’s live sets are once off, never to be repeated and so, are not to be missed.
